Colton T. Erickson, 20

December 29, 2021

Colton Trevor Erickson, 20, of Park Rapids, MN passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 in an automobile accident near Blackduck, MN.

Colton was born August 22, 2001 in Baudette, MN to Bruce and Sharlene (Windsor) Erickson. He grew up in Baudette and graduated from The Lake of the Woods High School in 2020. On October 10, 2020 he was united in marriage to Zennah Van Cleave in Nevis, MN. The couple made their home in Park Rapids.
Colton worked for Cenex for several years and for the past year worked at Park Rapids Ford.

Colton loved cars and loved working on and talking about his Mercury. He loved to ice fish and recently developed a love for bow hunting. He always had something funny to say and he enjoyed growing his many mustaches. And we can’t forget his big hairy St. Bernard, Bailey.

Colton was a wonderful husband, son, brother, nephew and grandson. He knew belief in God was important and was baptized in 2017 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His time with us was short but filled with love. We are happy he found the love of his life, Zennah. They met in kindergarten where he hit her in the head with a foam block. Who knew they would marry years later. He loved his new family. Colton was well liked and had many close friends. He will be missed every moment and held in our hearts forever.

Colton is survived by his wife, Zennah; parents, Bruce and Sharlene Erickson of Baudette; sister, Madison (Andrew) Kotnik of Williams, MN; brother, Wyatt Erickson of Baudette; maternal grandparents, Trevor and Pat Windsor of Rainy River, Ontario Canada; paternal grandparents, David and Louise Erickson of Baudette; niece, Riley Kotnik; his in-laws, Sam, Erica, Zayden and Zander Van Cleave of Nevis; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his big St. Bernard, Bailey.
