Minutes
It was noted that there was a mistake in the May 11th minutes. In the motion regarding the picnic tables at the ballpark, it should have recorded Council Member J. Kukowski seconded the motion. Council Member J. Klicker made a motion to approve the May 11th meeting minutes, with the mentioned correction. Council Member A. Bastyr seconded the motion, with it passing unanimously.
New Business
The borrow area just North of the sewer ponds was discussed. After some discussion Council Member J. Klicker made a motion to approve City Works Supervisor Tony Brouse to move forward with filling in the area if a permit can be obtained. The motion was seconded by Council Member A. Bastyr, with it passing unanimously.
There was discussion about purchasing a gas tank and pump for the back of the pickup to minimize the trips to get gas for mowers etc. Council Member J. Klicker made a motion to approve the purchase of a tank and pump, up to $600 with the cost being split between the general account and the sewer account. The motion was seconded by Council Member A. Bastyr, with it passing unanimously.
Installing a bypass spout at the East side lift station was discussed. After some discussion it was decided that City Works Supervisor Tony Brouse should get an estimate for the work from a plumber. The matter was tabled until the estimate could be obtained.
Clerk Nicholson informed the Council that the WYRA has offered to place and pay for a port-a-potty at the ballpark in Williams and is seeking Council approval for this action. The Council was happy to hear that this would be done and directed Clerk Nicholson to tell the WYRA they have permission to move forward.
The previously discussed picnic tables were revisited. After acquiring estimates, it was discovered that it would not be possible to build 2- 16 foot picnic tables on a budget of $1,000. After some discussion on the matter Council Member A. Bastyr made a motion to approve an expenditure of $1,200 for the construction of 2 – 12’ picnic tables to supersede the previous approval of picnic table construction from the May meeting. The motion was seconded by Council Member J. Klicker, with it passed unanimously.
