Stanley G. Anderson, 85

A Funeral Service for Stanley Anderson of Baudette, MN will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Wabanica Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Wabanica Cemetery. Military rites by the Baudette Veteran Ceremonial Squad.
Stanley (Teddy) Gene Anderson son of Bjarne and Ella (Johnson) Anderson was born on May 25, 1937 at home. Stanley passed away on July 8, 2022 at LakeWood Health Center in Baudette. Stanley grew up on the family farm in Wabanica township. He went to school at Lake of the Woods. Stanley moved to Minneapolis where he worked at the Harry Gass Mattress Factory until he joined the army in 1959. Stanley went to Fort Ripley for basic training. He then continued to Fort Knox, KC for schooling. Stanley was stationed in Germany for three years.
In 1966 Stanley married Ruth DeMarre with this union they were blessed with Travis and Tanya. In 1963 Stanley returned to working at the Harry Gass Mattress Factory after his honorable discharge from the army. In 1964 Stanley and Ruth bought their first home while Stanley worked for a plastics company. In 1967 they moved to Brooklyn Park and bought their next home. Stanley then worked for Golden Valley Health Center. He went to work for Nordick Packaging where he retired from on June 1st, 1999. In June of that year, Stanley and Ruth moved to the home farmstead. Stanley could never sit still so he came out of retirement and worked at Marvin, Zippel State Park, Wigwam, LakeWood Care Center, and Linder’s Hideaway Cabins. Stanley was a handyman to many people. He loved woodworking, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling. Stanley was known for doing his headstands still at the age of 82.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Ruth; mother and father; sister, Marilyn Haima; brothers, Harry Anderson and Leo Anderson. He is survived by his son, Travis (Deb) Anderson of Baudette; daughter, Tanya (Mike) Hamberg of Williams; granddaughters, Kailee Anderson, Ella Warnke, and Amanda Anderson; great-grandson Hudson. Sisters, Bonnie (Dan) Spiczka, Luella Hanson, Sylvia Bergquist; brother, Lyle (Darlene) Anderson, and many nieces and nephews.
