LAKE OF THE WOODS COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT / PLANNING COMMISSION
There will be a Lake of the Woods County Board of Adjustment/Planning Commission hearing on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room of the County Government Center in Baudette, Minnesota. The Board may also be conducting lot viewals on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, starting at approximately 4:30 p.m. The Board will consider the following requests:
Steven & Marissa Theis A tract in Government Lot 1, East of the Applicant is requesting a
Winter Road River and North of State variance from Section 503.6
Highway 172, less deeded in Section of the Lake of the Woods
Twenty (20), Township One-hundred Zoning Ordinance, to allow
Sixty-one (161) North, Range Thirty-one a structure that will not
(31) West – Parcel ID# 24.20.12.050. meet the required one-
hundred (100) foot setback from the Ordinary High-Water
Level (OHWL) of Winter Road River. Winter Road River is a Tributary River segment.
Bonny & Michael Edin Lots Nine (9) and Ten (10), Block One Applicants are requesting a
(1), Angle Outpost Acres, in Section variance from Section 605
Twenty-six (26), Township One-hundred of the Lake of the Woods
Sixty-eight (168) North, Range Thirty-four County Zoning Ordinance,
(34) West – Parcel ID#’s: 02.57.01.090 to allow the subdivision of
and 02.57.01.100. two contiguous non-conform ing lots of record in the
shoreland area of Lake of
the Woods. Lake of the
Woods is a General
Development Lake.
Katherine Houser A tract in Government Lot 4, in Section Applicant is requesting a
Seventeen (17), Township One Hundred variance from Section 603 of
Sixty-two (162) North, Range Thirty-two the Lake of the Woods
(32) West – Parcel ID# 19.17.23.030. County Zoning Ordinance, to
allow construction of a deck that exceeds fifteen (15)
percent of the existing
setback of the structure from the Ordinary High-Water Level (OHWL) of Lake of the Woods. Lake of the Woods is a General Development Lake.
Steve Cooper A tract in the Northeast quarter of the Applicant, as required by
Northeast quarter in Section Twenty-five Lake of the Woods County
(25), Township One-hundred Sixty-two Zoning Ordinance Section
(162) North, Range Thirty-three (33) 401C, is requesting the
West – Parcel ID#18.25.11.010. commercial operation of a short-term transient rental in
a Rural Residential Zoning
District (R2).
