Fatal Boating Incident on Lake of the Woods

On October 18, 2025, at approximately 1541 hours, the Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a capsized boat on Lake of the Woods. 

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene. As a result of the incident, Brian Herridge, age 69, of Chaska, Minnesota, was later pronounced deceased. 

The incident remains under investigation. No further details are available at this time.
