Lorne Jonassen, 52

Lorne Jonassen of Glendale, AZ unexpectedly passed away on May 31, 2022 at the age of 52.

Lorne was born May 15, 1970, in Red Lake Ontario Canada to Edwin and Gail Jonassen. They then moved to Rainy River, Ontario where he graduated from Rainy River High School in 1988. He then moved to Thunder Bay where he attended Confederation College and graduated with his associate’s degree in 1990.

On November 10, 1990 Lorne was united in marriage to Tonja Draper at the Knox United Church in Rainy River, Ontario. They had 2 children, Brock & Kelsey.

The family lived in Rainy River for many years before moving to Baudette, MN in 2009. They resided there until both children had graduated high school. Lorne & Tonja then both moved to International Falls, MN to be closer to their jobs. Lorne then relocated his family to the sunshine in Glendale, AZ in 2019 where he delivered fuel for a living.

Lorne was proceeded in death by his father Edwin Jonassen, his grandma Grace Proteau, father-in-law Bruce Draper & his brother-in-law Jeremy Draper.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Tonja, son Brock, daughter Kelsey, his pride and joy Travis Jonassen, mother Gail Jonassen, brother John (Sara) Jonassen, mother-in-law Marsha Draper, brother-in-laws Jason (Chrissy) Draper, Chris (Maureen) Draper, Justin (Kristi) Draper, and many nieces and nephews.
