Pernell Louise (Borgen) Sather, 73

Pernell Louise (Borgen) Sather, 73, of Baudette, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 4, 2024.

Pernell was born on June 8, 1950, to Roy and Pearl Borgen in Baudette, Mn. She attended Lake of the Woods High School and then went on to vocational school in Thief River Falls. She had different jobs throughout her life, but food service was her favorite.

In 1974, she wed Steve Sather. They went on to have three children: Stephanie, Sarah, and James. She lived in Loman and then Indus until October 2022. Since that time, she has resided at Good Samaritan Care Center in International Falls.

Pernell loved helping people, gardening, quilting, canning, baking, visiting with friends, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Pearl Borgen. She is survived by her husband Steve, children Stephanie (Shawn) Plutko, Sarah (Jeremy) Vang, and James (Danielle) Sather, and Grandchildren Samantha (Logan) Reed, Shelby (Richard) Phillips, Stella and Sophie Vang, and Reece and Rosslyn Sather.
