Elementary Spring Open House, Scholastic Book Fair will be held at L/W School March 31

by Press Release

The Scholastic Book Fair will be back at Lake of the Woods School, kicking off on the evening of the Elementary Spring Open House on Thursday, March 31.

The Book Fair will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. on the evening of March 31 and will be open until noon on Friday, April 8.

Students will be able to shop on the week of April 4-7 during their library time. Parents can easily set up a Scholastic E-Wallet, which allows parents or other family members to add funds to a virtual wallet, allowing children to shop at the Book Fair without carrying cash. Visit http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bookfairs/articles/ewallet.html for more information.

There is also an option to purchase books for classroom teachers. Each teacher in the elementary picks out 3-4 books they would love to add to their classroom library, and they are set aside on a “Teacher Wish List Table.” Parents can purchase the book, and the librarian will get it to the teacher.

The Elementary Spring Open House has taken the place of the school’s traditional spring conferences, and allows students to invite their families in to show off their classrooms, as well as projects they have worked on.
