Free Online Soil Health Courses planned
Producers in Lake of the Woods and Roseau counties can now sign up for free online soil health courses thanks to a Clean Water Funding grant.
Two courses are currently available, Regen Ag 101 and a follow-up course Regen Ag Adaptive Grazing. Each course is a self-paced, online learning opportunity made up of several modules. Participants have up to 1-year to complete all modules in the course.
Regen Ag 101 will show you how to increase profitability, build resiliency into your land, decrease input costs, and improve the nutrient density and the marketability of the agricultural products you produce. The online course is an interactive media experience, chock-full of video lectures, case studies, and supporting research gleaned from the very best of Understanding Ag's expert instructors--all of whom are also experienced regenerative farmers and ranchers.
The course consists of 10 documentary instruction modules featuring Ray Archuleta, Gabe Brown, Shane New, and Dr. Allen Williams, teaching the core principles of regenerative agriculture that they have pioneered over the past 30 years.
To learn more about the course you can visit their website understandingag.com. To get your free registration code and get started with Regen Ag 101, call the LOTW SWCD office at (218)634-1842 ext. 4 or the Roseau SWCD office at (218)463-1903
