PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

LAKE OF THE WOODS COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT / PLANNING COMMISSION

There will be a Lake of the Woods County Board of Adjustment/Planning Commission hearing on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room of the County Government Center in Baudette, Minnesota. The Board may also be conducting lot viewals on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, starting at approximately 4:30 p.m. The Board will consider the following requests:

Jason and Christina Draper A tract of land described as the West 330’ of the S2SE4SE4, Section Seven (7), Township One Hundred Sixty-one (161) North, Range Thirty-three (33) West – Parcel ID# 22.07.44.021. Applicant is requesting a Conditional Use Permit as required by Section 401.C of the Lake of the Woods County Zoning Ordinance to operate a short-term vacation rental in a Rural Residential (R2) Zoning District.

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Lake of the Woods County Planning Commission on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Room of the County Government Center in Baudette, Minnesota. The purpose of this public hearing is to consider amendments to the Lake of the Woods County Zoning Ordinance. This zoning ordinance would amend the county’s zoning regulations to comply with state shoreland rules. All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing and provide testimony. This notice is a summary and to review all proposed changes to the ordinance, copies are available at the Lake of the Woods County Land and Water Planning office and the Auditor’s office.

This SSTS ordinance would amend the county’s SSTS regulations to comply with state subsurface sewage treatment system rules. All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing and provide testimony. This notice is a summary and to review all proposed changes to the ordinance, copies are available at the Lake of the Woods County Land and Water Planning office and the Auditor’s office.
