LW Senior Citizens Council to host an AED Class at the Brink Center
The Brink Center is one location close to downtown Baudette that houses an AED, which stands for Automated External Defibrillator. An AED is used to help anyone experiencing cardiac arrest. The AED is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, which can help the heart re-establish an effective heart rhythm.
There is no cost for the class, which will be provided by volunteers from the Lake of the Woods Ambulance Crew at the Brink Senior Center in Baudette on Saturday, March 18th, at 10 a.m. The Ambulance Crew will demonstrate how to use the AED on site and answer questions from participants. The session will run for approximately an hour, with refreshments available at the end of the program.
