Myrle “Jackie” Loos, 68

Myrle “Jackie” Loos, age 68, of Fairmont passed away Thursday evening, January 20, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Fairmont. The Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Myrle Jacqueline Loos was born on January 31, 1953, to Jake and Edith “Fluff” (Champine) Loos in Fairmont, Minnesota. She grew up in Ceylon and graduated from Ceylon High School in 1971. Following her high school graduation she attended Bemidji State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree. She settled in Baudette, Minnesota where she worked at Sportsman’s Lodge on the Rainy River. Jackie later moved to Minneapolis where she spent approximately 30 years working as an administrative assistant at Midwest Federal and Ameriprise Financial.
She was an avid walleye fisherman and enjoyed spending time at the family cabin at Lake of the Woods with family and friends. Jackie had three great companions during the years she lived in Minneapolis – her dogs, Sandy, Kelsie and Emma.
Jackie had more than her share of health issues over the years, beginning with a cancer diagnosis when she was in her thirties. She handled each health crisis in her life with grace and a fierce determination to get better and to go on enjoying life. In October of 2021 her health caused her to leave her home in Minneapolis and move to Fairmont where she was currently a resident of Ingleside Assisted Living.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Suzy Loos of Green Valley, AZ; brother, Doug Loos of Rosemount, MN; nephew, Steve Loos; and niece, Diana Anderson; as well as several great nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and sister, Penny Loos.
