Speaking of Faith

I would like to tag onto Pastor Doug Mason’s call to return to the church. Covid hit and we were all directed to stay home, but that was then, and today is a great day to return to your churches. You are missed !

We miss our Canadian friends too. Yes, we like to sleep in, sit on the couch have some coffee and watch TV or church online. Let’s look at what the Bible says about that. Hebrews 10:24Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. 25This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawn.TPT

We can not encourage each other if we sit home. God created us for relationship to love one another, and to care for each other. God sent His only Son that we would have reconciliation with Him, our Heavenly Father. So you see relationships are important. We need each other. We have freedom here in America, the home of the free and brave. We need to embrace that right to assemble.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:9 “You can expect to be persecuted, even killed; for you will be hated by all the nations because of your love for me. 10Then many will stop following me and fall away, and they will betray one another and hate one another. 11And many lying prophets will arise, deceiving multitudes and leading them away from the path of truth. 12There will be such an increase of the sin of lawlessness that those whose hearts once burned with passion for God and others will grow cold. 13But hold your hope firmly to the end and you will experience life and deliverance.

14“Yet through it all, the good news of heaven’s kingdom will be proclaimed all over the world, providing every nation with a demonstration of the reality of God. And after that the end of this age will arrive.”

We can see the increase of sin and lawlessness so clearly right now. We also need to ask the Lord for discernment and wisdom so we are not fooled by false teachers or lying prophets. Many will grow cold and hate will fill thier hearts! Satan comes to rob steal and destroy , even our hearts and feelings toward each other and God. Hang on to love! Find a good solid Bible based church, one that speaks the word of God our Father.

John 1:1In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.

We can not change the word to fit our narrative or what we want it to say. The word is God. We don’t change Him, He changes us as we study Him. How wonderful! The disciples watching how Jesus went and prayed, asked him to teach them how to pray .

Luke 11: 2So He said to them, “When you pray, say:

Our Father who art in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

3Give us this day our daily bread.

4And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil .”

Amen, and so go find a Bible based truth telling church, encourage someone. Get hugged! And continue to read the word so you can know God your Father and Christ our Lord, and Holy Spirit our comforter . Pray for one anther and know He is faithful and loves you . Father God created us to be a church family, His family, not perfect but loved and forgiven, it is time to come home.
