Dorothy Richards, 105

Dorothy Agnes Richards passed away on September 2, 2022 at Lakewood Care Center in Baudette, MN, at the age of 105. Dorothy was born on November 29, 1916, the daughter of Alfred and Gladys Robertson. She graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL in 1935.

Dorothy married Harry Richards in 1938 in Wilmette, IL. They had three sons – Chuck, Don and George.

Dorothy loved to draw and was planning to attend the Art Institute in Chicago but that dream ended when the Great Depression started. She also enjoyed making special cards for people and she loved to bake, especially bread.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Chuck (Ellen) Richards of Baudette, MN, Don Richards of Roosevelt, MN and George (Pat) Richards and their son Dan of Forsyth, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry; siblings Jessie, John, Jean, and Margaret Robertson; and granddaughter Laura Richards.
